Iranian short ‘Dijameh’ to compete in Australia

Iranian ‘Dijameh’ is to compete at the 2021 Fleurieu Film Festival in Australia.

Iranian short flick ‘Dijameh’ has been selected to compete at the 4th edition of the Fleurieu Film Festival (FFF) in Australia.

Directed by Amirali Mirderikvand, the 5-minute film narrates the story of a boy who is looking at an old photo of his grandfather on the wall and recalls his memories.

The short flick was a finalist at the 7th edition of the Nebrodi filmfest in Italy.

Moreover, it garnered the special jury award at the fifth edition of Cinema et Lamer film festival in Morocco.

According to the FFF’s official website, “The Fleurieu Film Festival is an industry-standard, competitive short film festival held on the Fleurieu Peninsula as an avenue for new and emerging filmmakers to showcase their work, it has been running since 2016”.

The fourth edition of the event will be held on February 13-14, 2021.
